Bob Golic

Bob escaped California with his family in 2004 to return to his home turf of Northeast Ohio for an ALL TOPIC talk show opportunity with WNIR.  Being with WNIR only 4 years makes Bob Golic the fresh new face & voice of WNIR.  When he was growing up in Northeast Ohio he was a stand-out high school athlete at St. Joseph’s Academy.  After high school Bob attended Notre Dame where he was an All American linebacker when Notre Dame won the National Championship.

In 1979 the New England Patriots drafted Bob in the second round of the NFL draft.  His 14 year NFL career included stints with the Patriots, HIS HOMETOWN CLEVELAND BROWNS and finally with the Los Angeles Raiders.  In his 7 seasons with the Browns (1982-88) Bob played nose tackle during the exciting Cardiac Kids and Bernie Kosar eras.  In three of those Browns years (1985-87) Bob was named an NFL Pro Bowler.

While playing for the Los Angeles Raiders Bob connected with Hollywood.  He starred in a variety of movie and television roles, most notably the NBC sitcom “Saved by the Bell...the College Years”.  His radio and television credits also include NBC Sports, Fox Sports Net, ESPN, CNN and his own Los Angeles based radio talk show.  Since his return to Northeast Ohio Bob has been involved with the CBS affilliate in Cleveland, WOIO-TV, where he has done Cleveland Browns play-by-play and co-hosted WOIO's NFL Sunday programs.

Bob’s background is in sports but his show is an ALL TOPIC TALK SHOW!
