Sep 27 2016A LONG JOURNEY TO SUCCESS
The Indians clinched the AL Central Division on Monday night. It was not an epic moment, since it was apparent for a couple weeks the Tribe would hold off Detroit. But it's quite an accomplishment, to be sure. The season is long, the road is hard. Think about it. Snow on Opening Day. Then record heat all summer. The Indians best player played 11 games. The RF PED-ed out of the league, to be replaced by a guy who missed the first 80 games for the same reason. The 3B was released. Pitchers went down like swatted flies. But with all that, the 14-game winnining streak that ended July 1 changed it all. The Indians went into first and never looked back, and the team has the bigs' best record over the past 110 games! You can win a title with a great bullpen and team play (see Royals, KC). 'Not saying it's going to happen, but part #2 of this journey starts October 6.
