Some big news coming from Amazon as they are planning on building a new warehouse in Springfield Township, along with it, hundreds of local jobs. The Beacon Journal reports, Amazon is planning a 100,000 square foot, $30M warehouse and distribution center in Springfield Township. the center will be built on about 24 acres of land along Pickton Parkway and Pickle Road. Plans include more than 400 parking spaces for Amazon delivery vans. A public meeting on the project is scheduled for May 29 at 530pm at the township hall. Amazon currently operates a warehouse and distribution center on Romig Road in Akron at the site of the former Rolling Acres Mall.
