A 28 year old Akron man has been sentenced to life in prison in connection to a 2022 murder. Martell King of West Long Street must serve 15 years in prison before being eligible for parole. On January 29,2022, Jamier Harris was shot while standing on the porch of his home on 12th Street near Kenmore Boulevard in Akron. Investigators determined that the shooting was over money owed to King. Through their investigation, police found King fired a total of 11 shots.
