The City of Akron leaf removal will begin Monday, November 4th in Ward 5. The city postponed the leaf removal schedule by 1 week to allow more time for the leaves to fall before the start of the program. New this year, the city is launching a leaf removal dashboard to help residents follow along with the program. Residents can visit www.AkronOhio.gov/leaves to view the tracker. Each ward takes multiple days to complete. Signs will be posted in the various wards prior to pick-up dates. a reminder that residents should not rake their leaves into the street until the day BEFORE their scheduled pick-up. The dashboard will allow residents to follow along in nearly real-time with the progress of the leaf removal crews. The map will show which ward is in progress and which are complete.
