A father and his girlfriend were arrested after officers found an infant not breathing at a local hotel. According to a press release from the Springfield Township Police department, officers were called to the Red Roof Inn on Arlington road in Springfield Township around 9:30pm Friday night for an unresponsive infant. The release said the baby, a 1 year old girl, was found on the bed not breathing. Police said the infant showed signs of severe trauma, including extensive bruising. The infant’s father, 37 year old Jason Santos of New York, and his girlfriend, 36 year old Jamilee Hunt, also of New York, were taken into custody in connection to the incident. Both have been charged with serious offenses. Both are being held in the Summit County Jail.
