Ohio’s newest U.S. Senator was sworn in on Tuesday. Jon Husted, who served 6 years as Ohio’s Lt. governor, was chosen by Governor Mike DeWine last week to replace JD Vance, now the Vice President. Husted said his agenda will include finishing President Trump’s wall along the Southern border, bringing manufacturing back to Ohio and the US, and fighting the Pro-Abortion movement. Husted joins fellow Republican Bernie Moreno as Ohio’s Senators. He will serve until at least November of 2026, when he will have to run in a special election, the winner in 2026 will then serve out the rest of Vance’s term, which ends in 2028.
