Every year I hope the Cleveland Guardians will make a big move in the offseason and every year I am disappointed. Not even a run all the way to the American League Championship Series, can convince this ownership to make a big splash to possibly put this team over the top. Instead it’s just excuses and sitting on their hands as usual. With the Twins and Tigers on the rise and the Royals not far behind, the Guardians could find themselves this season closer to the middle of the pack than on top of it. They got rid of Andres Gimenez and Josh Naylor, and the players they brought to the team, most average fans have never even heard of. This is their normal procedure every season. It’s really getting old. We all keep thinking one year they will go all in. Maybe we are all fools, because every season is the same, crickets coming from the front office and disappointment from the fanbase that the owners do nothing to improve the team.
