Right now, Akron Public Schools is proposing a 10.2 million dollar budget cut for next school year. That proposal includes 5.8 million dollars in cuts to the workforce and 4.4 million dollars in cuts to operational expenses. The administration presented the proposal to the schools finance committee earlier this week. It did not specify how many positions would be cut. The board is expected to vote on the budget on April 14th.
