The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating after a Portage County man attempted to cross a busy road and was struck and killed over the weekend. The patrol says, it happened around 1030pm Friday in Brimfield Township. According to a report, a driver was heading south on State Route 43, when a man on foot attempted to cross the road. According to troopers, the driver was unable to stop and hit the man. The victim has been identified as 77 year old Arthur Jones, of Kent. No one has been charged at this time.
