A Streetsboro man has been indicted after allegedly attacking a woman he is related to and pushing her down a flight of stairs. 57 year old Richard McNeil faces multiple charges including attempted murder. He initially claimed the woman had fallen, but medics found no signs of a violent assault. Police say McNeil attacked the woman, who is in her 70’s, with a quote——heavy hand tool before pushing her down the stairs. The woman remains hospitalized in serious condition. McNeil is being held at the Portage County Jail.
