Across Ohio, the sales of recreational marijuana have surpassed $50 million, just over a month since the August 6th decision that gave dual-use dispensaries the green light to start selling recreational marijuana. In November 2023, Ohio voters approved Issue 2 to legalize the sale of pot by state-licensed dispensaries to individuals 21 years of age or older, with a 10% excise tax on these sales. The division of Cannabis Control was to announce new rules regarding the sale of pre-rolls and dispensaries advertising options on September 7th, but they have yet to be released to the public or store operators. Until then, dispensaries across the state will continue to adhere to the current guidelines in place.
