A Canton man died Friday after a driver crashed into the front of a Stark County restaurant. The crash happened just before noon. Authorities say, 69 year old Andrew Grosschmidt died from his injuries just hours after he was pinned between the car and the counter of Angello’s To Go on Fulton Drive. 81 year old Barbara O’Donnell of canal Fulton was attempting to pull her vehicle into a parking spot in front of the restaurant. She advised officers that she thought she was applying the brake pedal but in fact still had her foot on the gas pedal. She drove through the front of the business pinning Grosschmidt between the counter and the vehicle. Police say charges are pending at this time.
