A 21 year old man pleaded guilty in connection to a 2022 shootout in Akron that killed an innocent pregnant woman who was caught in the crossfire. Leneir Worthy, of Akron, pleaded guilty on Thursday to 2 counts each of involuntary manslaughter with a firearm specification and improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle. He will be sentenced on November 22nd. Killed in the shootout, 21 year old Teyaurra Harris, of Akron. She was killed as men from 2 vehicles opened fire and Harris was shot in the head. At least 30 rounds of gunfire were fired from 3 different guns, according to federal authorities. Several other men were sentenced in connection with the crime, however authorities determined the shots Worthy fired were the ones that struck Harris.
