Akron City Council delayed its vote on an external police use-of-force audit. The proposed audit would cost $750,000 and it comes after several high profile shootings involving officers. The vote is now pushed back to January 27th. If it passes, the city would hire an outside consulting group and law firm to evaluate the department’s use-of-force policy.
